The Junction City Lady Jays fell to Wichita Northwest 40-31 in the consolation semifinals of the 2017 Firebird Winter Classic in Lawrence on Friday.

The loss dropped Junction City to 2-9 on the season.

The Lady Jays play Hutchinson in the seventh place consolation game of the tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lawrence Free State High School.
