A federal grand jury has returned an indictment against two people in a Geary County case.
According to U.S. Attorney Tom Beall, 27-yearold Alvin Acevedo and 31-year old Yesena Collazo are charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute heroin. The crime is alleged to have occurred Nov. 14 in Geary County.
If convicted, they face a penalty of not less than 10 years in federal prison and a fine up to $10 million. The Drug Enforcement Administration investigated the case.
