4H Honors Participants and Community Members

The David and Karla Butler has been named the 4-H Family of the Year in Geary County.

They were honored during the annual 4-H Awards banquet in Junction City. Some of the other award recipients included:

–Macie Muto as the recipient of the Rob Smith Citizenship Award

–Jaydon Zima, Key Award

–Dewey Terrill, 4-H Appreciation Award

–Mark and Resia Muto family,  2016 International 4-H Youth Exchange Host Family

–Lindsey Ascher, Calen Boller, Mason Muto and Jaydon Zima, 2015-16 Youth Ambassadors

–Kaitlyn Butler and Lauren Moon, 2016-17 new 4-H Ambassadors

In the 4-H scholarship recipients category those recognized included:

–Kyler Langvardt, Flint Hills Preservation Coalition Scholarship

–Danielle Shane, Paul B. and Clara B. Gwin 4-H Scholarship

–Kyler Langvardt and Danielle Shane, Ray and Nellie Smith 4-H Scholarship

–Jessie Heiman, Macey Langvardt, Trae McDaniel, Danielle Shane and Kendall Talley, 4-H Commitment to Service Scholarship

–Mason Muto and Lydia Sohnrey, the 2016 Fair King & Queen, Munson’s Prime Book Scholarship.
