Ally McKenzie Earns 5th Place in Salina South Tennis Invitational

The Junction City Lady Jay tennis team was led by senior Ally McKenzie at the Salina South Tennis Invitational.

McKenzie went 3-1 on the day with wins over players from Dodge City, Salina Central and Abilene. Her only loss came to the champion.

In other singles play for Junction City, Alexis Cruz went 2-2 on the day, finishing 10th. The doubles team of Codi Post and Jordan Dombrowski won their first match against Abilene but then fell to Salina South. They went 1-3 on the day.

The doubles team of Anne Kim and Brianna Talley fell to Salina Central, but then defeated Olathe South before dropping their final two matches. They finished in 12th place.

In the overall team competition the Lady Jays finished fifth out of eight teams.

Junction City will play on Tuesday, September 27 at the Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka.
