Junction City, Geary County, and the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce have sent representatives to an NBAF Community Liason Group meeting.

These deal with the NBAF project developing in Manhattan.

Dennis Beson, Chamber of Commerce CEO, said it’s an opportunity for the various counties that surround the NBAF facility to get together, “just ask questions, voice opinions, find out the happenings of where construction is at and anything that the different communities might be able to participate in.”

Beson said from an NBAF perspective there is still a long ways to go with the heighth of construction occurring about 2019. “With close to one thousand constructions per day on the site.”

Beson noted it probably will not officially open until 2022 and beyond.
