The Junction City Commission has approved the proposed 2017 budget for publication.
There would be a slight increase in the property tax levy, approximately three-tenths of one mill, or point-375.
There will be a public hearing on the proposed spending plan August 16th after which the commission can consider approval of the budget.
The tax levy proposed for 2017 is 48.09 mills. The general fund is calculated at $20,267,081 and the entire budget factoring in all funds has been proposed at $70,714,840.
