On Monday, August 1st around noon, ANR Pipeline will be conducting a blow down on one of the main line that goes through Geary County.

Two valves will be opened to release the pressure on the line.

The valves are located on US-77 Highway about 4 miles south of Junction City, wast about 1/2 mile in a field; and on K-177 north of I-70 about 1 mile on the east side of the roadway.

People in the area will hear a very loud high pitch noise. Pipeline personnel will be in the area monitoring the release.

Once the blowdown is complete, crews will be replacing pipe between the valves; there will be no danger to the public during this controlled blow down.
