Sheridan Elementary School in Junction City is the site of extensive summer construction.

USD 475 officials report that the district is adding an addition to the facility that will serve both as a storm shelter and provide classroom space. It will provide teachers and support staff the space for more one-on-one attention for students who need it.

The new addition will also provide a bigger space for larger groups. A parking lot expansion is also under way at Sheridan Elementary School.
