TOPEKA – The Mid-Plains League is proud to announce rosters for the 2016 All-Star Game which is scheduled to take place this Sunday evening at Rathert Field in Junction City, Kansas.The 2016 edition of the All-Star Game will feature teams comprised of players from the East Division taking on players from the West Division.
“This season we expanded to eight teams and went with a two-division format. This gave us a great opportunity for to do an East vs. West All-Star Game,” said League Commissioner David Streeter. “I’m really excited that more players get a chance to experience being a part of this great event and have some great exposure.”
Rossville’s Tobi Cowdin will take the helm of the West All-Stars after his team took home the Cowdin Cup Championship last summer.
Manager of the Baldwin City Blues, Jason LaRocque, will manage the East All-Star squad. LaRocque was chosen as the Blues took control of the top spot in the East Standings yesterday.
The MPL All-Star Game will be played at historic Rathert Stadium in Junction City, beginning at 7:00 PM on Sunday.
