Coach Braden, “Today junior Jacob Judy took home the gold in the discus.  He is starting throw consistently as the year progresses.  Senior Brock Barrett ran a great race in the open 800 and I was extremely pleased with the long jump distance of senior Sara Casaus.  Sara’s jump of over sixteen feet today is very encouraging with only three high school meets left in her career.  Senior Joanna Wright continues to improve every meet in the 200 meter dash and the girls 4 x 100 meter relay team of Casuas, Wright, Sanders, and Barrett is less than one half a second off the current school record. Sophomore Sammy Finnegan runs faster each and every week and freshman Sydney Barker continues to lower her 800 meter time every time she steps on the track.  All three coaches were pleased with the effort put forth by the Bombers here at Riley today.”

Wakefield’s next meet will be Monday May 9^th when the Bombers travel to Clay Center for the Clay Center Junior Varsity Track Meet and then on Thursday May 12^th, they travel to Goessel for the Wheat State League Meet.
