Storms Possible This Weekend

There will be a warming trend through the end of the week with highs in the 80’s by Friday, according to the National Weather Service of Topeka. There is a chance for strong to severe storms beginning on Saturday afternoon and lasting through Monday. Heavy rainfall and flooding will also be possible Saturday night through Sunday.FileL (9)

Today: Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Northwest winds up to 5 mph shifting to the north in the afternoon.

Tonight: Clear. Lows around 50. Southeast winds up to 5 mph shifting to the south after midnight.

Friday: Sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. South winds 5 to 15 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear. Lows around 60. South winds 5 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. Southwest winds 5 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 50s.

Sunday: Partly sunny with a 50 percent chance of rain showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday Night: Rain showers and thunderstorms likely. Lows in the upper 50s. Chance of precipitation 60 percent.
