More Rain Likely this Afternoon

Areas of widespread rain are quickly lifting to the north this morning, and should diminish by mid-morning. However, additional scattered showers and possibly even an isolated thunderstorm will be possible this afternoon, primarily across far northern and far northeast Kansas. FileL (1)

This storm system will finally exit the region tonight through Thursday, so there are slight chances for scattered showers across the outlook area during that time period. A brief dry period is expected through Saturday night, however we are monitoring the next chance for precipitation during the Sunday through Tuesday time period, during which there will be the potential for some strong to severe storms to develop, so make sure to stayed tuned to forecast updates regarding this next system!
