According to the 1st Infantry Division Facebook page Retired Gen. Gordon R. Sullivan, who commanded the 1st Infantry Division from July 1988 to July 1989, is set to step down as president and CEO of the Association of the United States Army National ( AUSA ) on July 1. Retired Gen. Carter F. Ham, who led the “Big Red One” from August 2006 to July 2007, was named as Sullivan’s successor.

Hamm is set to visit Fort Riley at the end of this month to speak during the regional AUSA meeting, which is hosted by the AUSA ( Central Kansas – Fort Riley ) chapter.
