Blue Jay Boys Basketball Head Coach Resigns

Junction City, KS – Junction City High School Athletic Director Matthew Westerhaus announced that Coach Patrick Battle has resigned from his position as the Blue Jays varsity head basketball coach.

“Coach Battle is a man of high character, he has spent countless hours devoted to developing basketball and life skills with the basketball players in his program. Junction City High School thanks Coach for his time and dedication to the program,” says Athletic Director Matt Westerhaus. An immediate search will take place to find a replacement for the boys head coaching position at Junction City High School.

Coach Battle has served for 5 years as the varsity head coach for the Blue Jays.

During the five-year period Battle’s Blue Jay varsity teams compiled a combined record of 33-72. The 2015-16 team turned in the best record during the five-year period at 9-12.
