- Kansas State (15-14, 4-12 Big 12) plays its final regular-season home game on Wednesday, as the Wildcats welcome TCU (11-18, 2-14 Big 12) to Bramlage Coliseum on Senior Night for a 7 p.m. CT tipoff.
- K-State will be looking to sweep the season series for the first time since 2014 after posting a 63-49 win over TCU on Feb. 16. The Wildcats own a 9-4 record in the series, including a 5-1 mark at home.
- Wednesday’s contest will be the last at home for three seniors — Justin Edwards, Stephen Hurt and Brian Rohleder — as well as manager Jaron Randle, as each will be honored in a pre-game ceremony.
- Edwards and Hurt played 2 seasons at K-State after transferring from Maine and Northwest Florida Junior College, respectively, while Rohleder is wrapping up a 5-year career which began as a walk-on in 2011-12.
- Regardless of this week’s outcomes, K-State will be playing in the first round of next’s week’s Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship set for the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo. The Wildcats can be the No. 8, 9 or 10 seed with the No. 8/9 seeds playing Wednesday, March 9 at 6 p.m. CT and No. 10 seed playing No. 7 seed Texas Tech following at 8:30 p.m. CT.
- Including Wednesday’s game with TCU and the finale at Texas Tech (18-10, 8-8 Big 12), K-State will play consecutive unranked opponents for just the second time since the start of Big 12 play. The Wildcats are 14-2 against unranked teams this season, including 11-0 at Bramlage Coliseum.
- K-State owns the 14th-best strength of schedule and has played a school-record 13 Top 25 opponents, including 11 in Big 12 play. Thirteen of the 14 losses have come to teams that are currently ranked in the AP Top 25, including 6 in Top 10, with a combined record of 175-58 (.751).
- K-State is 11-5 at Bramlage Coliseum (12-5 at home overall) with its only losses coming to Top 25 foes West Virginia, Iowa State, Baylor, Kansas and Texas. The current 3-game losing streak at home is the longest since also dropping 3 straight from Feb. 5-19, 2005.
- K-State has improved nearly every offensive category from 2014-15, surpassing marks for scoring, field goals, 3-point field goals, points in the paint, second-chance points, rebounds, blocks and steals. The 219 steals are the 10th-most in school history and the most since 247 in 2012-13.
- One of the youngest teams in the country, K-State has had at least 2 true freshmen start together in 25 of 29 games (12 of 16 Big 12 games), while there has been at least one freshman starter in all 29 games.
