The visit by Secretary of Defense Ash Carter to Fort Riley scheduled for Thursday has been canceled.

Currently there are no plans to reschedule the visit. He was expected to discuss military reform.

Carter is the 25th Secretary of Defense. He also served as Deputy Secretary of Defense from 2011 to 2013.
