Rick Dykstra of Geary County reports there was a rare sighting of four Whooping Cranes at the Steve Lloyd Wetlands north of Milford Lake on Wednesday.

Three of the cranes were adults and one was a juvenile.  The cranes were spotted in the “Refuge Area.”
