Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade Postponed

The 20th annual Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade has been postponed to Saturday, December 5th.

The decision to postpone was based a couple of reasons according to parade threeEagle Radio General Manager and parade organizer, Mark Ediger.

“We’ve got a lot of kids involved in the Christmas Parade and to put people out, number one, in these kind of conditions is not a good idea and safety first,” said Ediger. “Number two, I tell everybody that the real purpose of the Christmas Parade is for people to be able to watch and enjoy a Christmas Parade, and that’s not possible in weather like this.”

Parade officials will be contacting those who had signed up to enter a float in the parade. Ediger is hopeful that they will be able to have the majority of those who signed up for the parade be able to make it next Saturday.

Once again the parade has been postponed to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, December 5th.
