The specific total isn’t yet available but the annual Family YMCA auction and benefit meal in Junction City exceeded it’s fundraising goal Thursday evening.

That information was confirmed by the director of the Family YMCA Ted Hayden. “Economy is pretty tight in Junction City but we met our goal, and our goal was about $28,000.”

Hayden calculated the turnout in the 260-270 people range. He noted it was the best turnout they had experienced. The auction and benefit meal were held at Brown Real Estate & Auction Service, LLC at 2323 North Jackson in Junction City.
