The annual Veterans Day ceremony in Junction City is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the C. L. Hoover Opera House.

But there are is also an activity at 10:30 a.m. at the Opera House, explained Quilt of Valor Project Coordinator Donna Martinson. “At 10:30 we plan to start a photo montage running that will just show pictures of the quilts.” Numerous Quilts of Valor have been presented to local veterans, particularly to those who served in the Vietnam, Korea, and World War II.

During the ceremony at 11 a.m. Mary Burnham will be the keynote speaker, and there a photo montage of the recipients of the Quilts of Valor will also be shown.
