Junction City High School Madison Roether has been named to the Class 6A Girls Golf 1st Team All State.

Roether was a senior on this years inaugural season for Lady Jay Golf. She placed 1st in a number of tournaments throughout the season and capped it off with a 6th place finish at the Class 6A Girls State Golf Tournament.

All State Golfers are nominated by 6A Girls Golf Coaches across the state, using the players overall season 18 hole over par average scores.

Other Centennial League golfers joining Roether on the Class 6A 1st Team All State team included Macie Meyers, of Manhattan and Rachel Stous, of Topeka.

The Player of the Year in Class 6A went to Mia Tovkach, of Garner-Edgerton. Dave Bertholf of Winfield High School was selected as the Kansas Coaches Association Girls Golf Coach of the Year.
