The strong end of the year run by the Junction City Lady Jay doubles team of Ally McKenzie and Danielle Shane came to an end Friday at the 6A State Championships in Olathe, KS.

The Lady Jays lost their first match against Colleen Freeman and Lexi Drummond from Shawnee Mission Northwest and then were knocked out of the consolation bracket by Lizzy Meizenbach and Mallory Novicoff from Blue Valley HS later in the day.  Both teams that defeated the Lady Jays team went on to win medals.

Coach Matthew Micheel
