Great Plains Theatre in Abilene has announced that Tom Milligan and Deborah Kennedy will be joining the staff as Artistic Directors for the 2016 Mainstage Season.

Milligan has worked as a theatre artist in the midwest for the last 45 years. An Iowa native he began his professional career in 1972 at Iowa’s first dinner theatre, Charlie’s Showplace. Since then his credits include activing, directing, set design, and construction, production stage manager, tour manager, technical coordinator, and producer.

Kennedy has been a working theatre artist for various theatres across the country for the last 20 years. A Florida native, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Florida School of the Arts in 1995. She has worked various jobs for numerous theaters, including acting, singing, dance, musician, writer, choreographer, costume coordination, prop design, stage manager, company manager and volunteer fundraiser.

This team has been the creative production team for more than 70 productions, and are now co-producers of TKM Productions.
