Coach Braden, “Our top four runners on our boy’s varsity team ran well today. Senior Brock Barrett ran the fastest 5K race of his life with a sub 18 minute time of 17:43. Junior Johnathan Bowen was right on his heals with his second fastest time of his career at17:57. Junior Jordan Colglazier ran his first Bomber letter qualifying time of 19:38 and junior Cole Barber ran a good time today as well. A pleasant surprise at Belleville was freshman Kevin Jackson. This was Kevin’s first every cross country race and he ran remarkably well with a time of 22:08. It looks as if we are starting to settle into the 2015 season as most of our times are beginning to come down. We only have four weeks left before we head to regionals. Hopefully we can stay healthy and be running the best times of the season by late October.”
The Wakefield Bombers next cross country meet will be Thursday October 1st when the Bombers travel to Council Grove for the Council Grove High School Invitational Cross Country Meet. Coach Braden, “We run down by the lake and our kids all say this is one of their favorite places to run.
