Storms Possible Friday, Clear Weekend Expected

According to the National Weather Service of Topeka, an upper level disturbance is expected to drift south across the state today bringing scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm to parts of northeast and north central Kansas. Fortunately thisFileL (6) should be out of the area by this weekend with nice weather expected for Saturday and Sunday.

Today: Mostly cloudy with chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 70s. East winds up to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation 40 percent.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy in the evening then clearing. Lows in the upper 50s. Northeast winds up to 5 mph.

Saturday: Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. East winds up to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 50s. Southeast winds up to 10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny. Highs in the lower 80s. South winds up to 10 mph.
