The Junction City Blue Jays ( 4-0 ) scored three first quarter touchdowns, and went on to defeat the Seaman Vikings ( 0-4 ) 40-0 in high school football at Al Simpler Stadium.
Raye Wilson of Junction City opened the scoring with a three yard touchdown run with 8:16 in the first quarter. he scored again on a 26 yard TD run with 4:34 left in the period, and then Terell Wilson picked up a fumble and returned it 53 yards for another touchdown.
Javon Baldwin of Junction City scored three touchdowns in the game on runs of 3, 18, and 81 yards. The 81 yard run came with 6:46 remaining in the third quarter and closed out the scoring for the evening.
Blue Jay coach Randall Zimmerman felt his team did some good things early in the contest. “Very, Very proud of our kids , the game they put together, especially the first quarter and a half. Defensively were on all night. The kids are doing a really nice over there.”
Junction City will travel to Washburn Rural next Friday for a match of undefeated 4-0 football teams.
