One of the community highlights of the past weekend was the Ice Cream Social sponsored by the Geary County Historical Society on the grounds of the Geary County Historical Museum at 530 North Adams.
The director of the Historical Museum Jamie Martin noted there was a great turnout for the musical groups that performed. Exhibits were also on display inside the Museum. Overall the estimated attendance totaled approximately 100.
“We almost sold out of pie and cake. We sold out of chocolate ice cream. ”
Funds raised during the event support the general operating expenses for the Museum and for general collections care.
