The two college football teams matched up Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
–A capacity crowd of 53,540 attended the game. It was the 22nd sellout dating back to 2012, and the third largest crowd in school history.
–K-State extended their scoring streak to 232 consecutive games.
–Junior quarterback Joe Hubener made his second career start at quarterback, throwing for 195 yards and three touchdowns on 15 of 26 attempts.
–Senior wide receiver Kody Cook hauled in a career-high four passes for a career-high 73 yards and two touchdowns, including the game winner in the third overtime.
–Redshirt freshman running back Justin Silmon rushed a career-high and game-high 24 times for 114 yards.
–Redshirt freshman wide receiver Dominique Heath pulled in two receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown came on a third down play in the first overtime.
–Sophomore linebacker Elijah Lee finished the game with a career-high 12 tackles, including three for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble.
–Senior place kicker Jack Cantele was 4-of-4 on field goals from distances of 33, 38, 20 and 44 yards. The 44-yard field goal Cantele made in overtime tied his career long set on Nov. 2, 2013 against Iowa State.
–It was Sudler Day in recognition of the Kansas State University Marching band receiving the 2015 Sudler Trophy, a biannual award that recognizes a college marching band of special merit. The trophy honors the close historical relationship and outstanding contribution of college marching bands to the American way of life. During the halftime ceremony where the trophy was presented, Band Director Frank Tracz received a long ovation from the crowd at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
–It was also Band Day at K-State. Bands from 17 schools participated in the halftime performance.
