Junction City Lady Jay golfer Madison Roether finished first in the individual competition in a golf invitational at the Cypress Ridge course in Topeka on Wednesday. She shot a round of five under par 76.

The Lady Jay team, with an overall score of 479, finished sixth out of six teams in the tournament.

Junction City will compete in a tournament Tuesday at the Salina Municipal Course.
