The Junction City High School varsity sports schedule this week finds:

–Lady Jay volleyball opening their season in a quadrangular at Hayden at 5 p.m.on Thursday.

–The JCHS girls tennis team will host a quadrangular Thursday at 3 p.m.

–The boys soccer team will compete at Emporia Tuesday with j-v action at 4:30 and the varsity following at 6 p.m.

–The Blue Jay football hosts Highland Park at 7 p.m. Friday at Al Simpler Stadium.

–And the JCHS boys and girls cross country teams will compete in the Manhattan Invitational at Warner Park.
