According to the National Weather Service of Topeka, two rounds of thunderstorms are expected today, with strong to severe storms possible tonight. This morning a line of storms was tracking southeastward across far
northern/northeast KS and should weaken and diminish through mid/late morning as it tracks toward east central KS. Temperatures should warm up into the mid/upper 80s today before the next round of storms develop.
A complex of storms should develop over southern Nebraska and track into north central/northern KS as early as late this afternoon through this evening. Some of these storms may be severe, with the main threats being damaging winds, large hail, and possibly an isolated tornado threat. Locally heavy rain and localized flooding will also be possible, primarily across far north central and northern KS.
