Myrissa Humphreys finished second in the girls 800 meter run in 2:23.39 and Jalene Brime second in the boys triple jump with a jump of 43’7 at the Bob Camien / Claudia Welch Invitational track meet hosted by Seaman High School in Topeka.
Those were highlights for Junction City in the huge 20 team meet, which saw the Lady Jays finish 13th with 26 2/3 points. Manhattan won the girls team title with 80 2/3 points. On the boys side the Blue Jays finished 16th with 12 points, while Manhattan won the team title with 91 1/2 points.
Also, for Junction City, Alana Kramer finished 7th in the girls 300 meter hurdles in 49.59, Brianna Pace 16th in the 1600 meter run in 5:34.60, Ayi-lissa Dotson 7th in the high jump with a jump of 5’2, and in boys competition Mason Tamarch 9th in the high jump at 6’0, and Bronson Hill 9th in the long jump at 20’6.”
