The Kansas State Wildcats collected 18 hits nd 14 runs enroute to a 14-4 baseball win over No. 3 TCU Friday night at Tointon Family Stadium in Manhattan.
The win came in the opener of a three-game weekend series between the teams.
According to kstatesports.com half of the Kansas State runs came in the first inning when the Wildcats sent 11 batters to the plate and recorded six hits. The Wildcats had fallen behind 2-0 after the top of the first inning when TCU used a leadoff hit by pitch and one-out double to put the pressure on the Wildcats.
The top five hitters in K-State’s lineup had a combined 13 hits, led by a career-high four from Tyler Wolfe. He finished 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored.
