The Junction City area Chamber of Commerce has announced that as of Tuesday the Capital Campaign has raised over $1 million in pledges over a five year period.
Susan Jagerson, Economic Development Specialist explained that
they are not done raising money and still hope to reach their $1.2 million goal by the end of April.
“Essentially the campaign wraps up about the end of April, of course we will accept investments after that,” said Jagerson. “We are very, very confident that we are going to at least reach if not exceed our goal with the contacts that we have left.”
The money will be used to increase economic development within Junction City.
“Additional business attraction and marketing. Working with our current and existing businesses, retaining and sustaining the businesses that we have. Helping our entrepreneur community, workforce development and enhancing the economic development resources that we already have in place.”
Money raised through the campaign will not be available all at once, as it will be paid gradually over a five year period.
