The high of 87 degrees recorded at the Milford Lake Corps of Engineers office on Monday, March 16, broke the old record for that date. Chuck Otte, Geary County Extension Agent, said the old record was 83, set in 2003.
Otte noted while Tuesday’s cool down seems abrupt and a radical change from the past ten days, it’s really more in keeping with average temperatures for mid March. The expected average high for the 17th is 56, with an average low of 31.
