Eugene Sayers, a resident of rural Chapman, passed away March 12th at Geary Community Hospital in Junction City at age 55.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. this Friday, March 20th at the Scherer Memorial Lutheran Church, west Fifth and Broadway in Chapman. Pastor Amy Truhe will officiate.

Military Honors will be provided by the Funeral Detail from Fort Riley, KS, and the Chapman American Legion Post #240.

The family will have a private burial of the ashes at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Chapman American Legion Post #240 sent to the Londeen Funeral Chapel, Box 429, Chapman, KS 67431.
