Geary County Rural Fire Chief Garry Berges has announced that a burning ban is in place Sunday afternoon.

As of early afternoon the County’s rural firefighters had to respond to three different rural fire calls.

A red flag ( fire ) warning is in effect until 8 p.m. for area counties including Geary, Riley, Dickinson, Morris, Pottawatomie, and Cloud counties.
