The Blue Jay Boys Bowling team went to Wichita last weekend to compete in the Class 6A State Tournament and finished with a final score of 2,833 good enough for first place.

Brad Adams, Head Coach talked all season long about his team finishing in the mid 2,700’s and competing in tournaments, never did he think his team would shoot over 2,800.

“We shoot 2,770’s and 2,760’s and that is way respectable, nobody isBOWLING THREE going to fault us for shooting that number,” said Adams. “And then we go up there and we pull out 2,833 and Wichita Northwest, they were in second and they shot 2,810. Who would have ever thought shooting 2,800 you’re going to get second. We showed up big.”

On Friday the team paraded through out the halls of the school showing everyone their new state championship trophy with the band and cheerleaders behind them playing and dancing along to the Blue Jay fight song.
