The Junction City Lady Jays basketball team opens Class 6A Substate Tournament play Thursday evening at Washburn Rural. Game time is 7 p.m.

Junction City, ( 4-16 ) lost to Washburn Rural ( 14-6 ) in a regular season game January 16.

The other side of the tournamen bracket finds Wichita East ( 10-10 ) hosting Derby ( 7-13 ) at 7 p.m on Thursday.
