The annual spring severe weather meeting in Geary County is Wednesday night at the 4H/Senior
Center on South Spring Valley Road. It begins at 7 p.m.
Geary County Emergency Management Director Garry Berges confirmed there is no admission charge. “There’s always some neat videos of weather spotters out either watching the storms or getting pelted with hail as they’re trying to run for cover.”
There will be a National Weather Service representative present to conduct the meeting and provided information on topics ranging from tornadoes and severe thunderstorms to lightning and cloud formations.
