JCHS JROTC Blue Jay Battalion Brings Home Trophies and Medals

The Junction City High School JROTC Blue Jay Battalion turned in a strong performance at the annual junction city high schoolSmith-Cotton Drill Meet in Missouri this past Saturday.

In the 1st year unarmed regulation lead by Cadet Private Katie Bliss the JCHS contingent finished first. And in the Unarmed Regulation led by Cadet Sergeant Alexna Gaskins, Junction City finished fourth.

There were 19 schools from the midwest competing in the meet, and they were judged by active duty drill sergeants from the area.

In the Armed Individual Drill Down for Junction City, Cadet Captain Nate Hancock finished first, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Trevor Dailey third, and Cadet Captain Glenn Devlin sixth.

In the Unarmed Individual Drill Down Cadet Pvt. Katie Bliss finished ninth.
