An update on the EDC Director is on the agenda for the Economic Development Commission Advisory Committee during their meeting at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Chamber of Commerce offices in Junction City.

A search has been under way for a director.

There are other meetings on the public agenda Thursday in Junction City.

The Junction City – Geary County Military Affairs Council will be in session at m. at the Chamber offices. Upcoming MAC breakfasts is one topic on the agenda. Outgoing Chamber of Commerce CEO Tom Weigand will be the speaker at the breakfast February 26.

The Junction City – Geary County Metropolitan Planning Commission will be in session at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building.

The Commission will consider a request for a special use permit for Westar Energy to build a large electric substation in southeast Geary County.
