The Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking both an economic development director and
Chamber CEO.
Mick McCallister, Chamber Board member, said Wednesday that it’s been a long process, and probably disappointing for many. He noted the Chamber has a good CEO right now who has decided to retire. “And so we are in the process of looking for another CEO. Right now that’s hard to come by, whether there’s very few people that are interested or they’re not sure where the direction of our leadership goes.
McCallister was hopeful candidates for the EDC Director post would be interviewed next week. “And then at point we need to buckle down and find our CEO.” The current CEO for the Chamber, Tom Weigand, is retiring Feb. 27.
