A quick system will bring accumulating snowfall during the day Wednesday. Snowfall totals will range from 1 to 3 inches across the area. Northerly winds increase around 15 to 25 mph with gusts up 35 mph. This may cause blowing snow and reduced visibilities at times during the day File

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs around 45. Southwest winds 5 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows around 23. West winds 5 to 10 mph shifting to the northeast after midnight.

Wednesday: Much colder. Mostly cloudy with light snow likely. Areas of blowing snow. Snow accumulation around 2 inches. Near steady temperature in the lower 20s. North winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.

Wednesday Night: Bitterly cold. Mostly cloudy in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Lows around 3. Northwest winds up to 10 mph. Gusts up to 25 mph in the evening. Wind chill readings as cold as 6 below.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 20s. South winds 5 to 15 mph. Lowest wind chill readings 9 below in the morning.

Thursday Night: Not as cold. Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 20s.

Friday And Friday Night: Warmer. Mostly clear. Highs around 50. Lows in the lower 30s.

Saturday And Saturday Night: Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 50s. Lows in the upper 20s.

Sunday Through Monday: Partly cloudy. Highs around 50. Lows in the upper 20s.
