The Junction City Middle School 7th Grade Boys Basketball team hosted Emporia. The A team won 39-28, with Darrin Batiste scoring 14 points, and Denzel Tyson 8 points for Junction City.

The City Middle School B team lost to Emporia 16-11.

Their next action will be at Washburn Rural in Topeka on Thursday.

The City Middle School 8th grade boys basketball team played at Emporia. The A team won 58-39 with A.J. DIckerson scoring 24 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Aaron Hamilton had 10 points, and Kody Westerhaus 9, going 3 for 3 from behind the arc.

The B team fell 29-28. Thane McDaniel scored 13 points for Junction City.

Earlier in the week the 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to McPherson. The A team lost 48-34. A.J. Dickerson had 16 points and 15 rebounds. The B team won 40-28. Arenzo Hoffman had 11 points, Javon and Jermaine Bailey each added 8 points.

The next home contest will be against Washburn Rural January 22.
