Accidents Reported in Geary County

The Geary County Sheriff’s Department worked a single vehicle rollover accident on K-177 Highway geary county sheriff badge to useMonday morning.

The Sheriff’s Department reported that William J. Hooper, Reading, KS, was driving a 1999 Ford 350 north on K-177 when he lost control and the vehicle rolled off the highway. Hooper was transported to Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The accident was reported at 6:22 a.m.

The Sheriff Department said deputies responded to another location on K-177 Highway Sunday evening for a single vehicle accident. Nicolas Cuevas-Castanon, Council Grove, was driving a 2003 Dodge Ram south on K-177 when he lost control of the vehicle, and it slid off the highway. There were no injuries reported.

And the Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies responded to the 5500 block of Davis Creek Road early Sunday evening in reference to a single vehicle accident involving a deer. Amanda Delain, Manhattan, was driving a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee north on Davis Creek Road when she struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported.
