The 7th Street Bakery will close January 25 after approximately 15 months of operation at 105 West 7th in downtown Junction City.

Owner Peggy Heldstab confirmed a new business, 105 Bliss Bistro,  will open at that site. Tammy Moritz will operate the new business, and lease the location from Peggy and Terry Heldstab.

Heldstab said the new business will be a coffee shop, but Moritz will also do different kinds of pastries. “Her lunch will be more of a sandwich selection.” On her facebook page Moritz posted that opening day will be February 3. She said the menu at her new business “will consist of croissants, soups, salads, wraps, cookies, cupcakes, cakes, scones, biscotti’s, coffees and such. ” She added she will assist with meetings, parties, take-out, and catering.

Heldstab has been operating both the 7th Street Bakery and the Baskin-Robbins outlet in Junction City. She plans to continue with Baskin-Robbins. “I’ll be back down there more often so I’ll be working some counter more. I’ll be working the counter more, and I’ll see my customers down there more often, and just focus on that.”
