K-State trailed by 13 points early in the second half, but the Wildcats outscored Oral Roberts 35-16 in the final 16:01 to win their women’s basketball matchup 53-47 Sunday afternoon at Bramlage Coliseum.
The Wildcats wee led by forward Breanna Lewis who scored a career-high 22 points on 10-of-18 free throw shooting, while also getting three rebounds, and blocking five shots. Shaelyn Martin tied her career-high with nine rebounds.
Kansas State is 7-1 on the season, while Oral Roberts fell to 5-6.
The Wildcats host Grambling State on Saturday at 1 p.m. That game will feature the Fort Riley “Operation Santa” toy drive. Fans can purchase a general admission ticket for $3 when they donate a new toy.
