AN All-Big 12 candidate at wide receiver and First Team Academic All-Big 12 performer, Kansas State senior Curry Sexton has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division I football team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday.

One of 50 players nationally from the FBS and FCS levels, Sexton was named to the second team by earning a 3.45 GPA in marketing and management.

Sexton, who earned his first undergraduate degree from K-State in December 2013 and is currently working on a second degree, is a four-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 selection.
