The Kansas State women’s basketball team concluded its exhibition schedule Monday night in
Bramlage Coliseum with an 80-30 win over Newman.
A 20-0 run in the first half propelled the Wildcats to the win. Haley Texada notched a game-high 17 points for Kansas State. Sophomore forward Breanna Lewis tallied 12 points, four blocks, three rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Sophomore guard Kindred Weseman collected 10 points, five assists, and three steals.
Kansas State will open its 47th season of action on Friday evening as the wildcats host SIUE at 5:30 p.m.
